Pickl support
One person runs Pickl. Mail gets answered within a day or two.
The fastest way to reach a human is help@playpickl.app. If something is wrong with a match, say which court and roughly when — that is usually enough to find it.
Check-in will not work
Check-in needs three things at once: both players inside 200 metres of the court, the match inside its half-hour window, and the four-digit code typed from the host's screen while it is still showing. The code changes every 30 seconds, so if you are typing an old one it will keep failing.
Wrong codes are rate-limited. Too many in a minute and it stops accepting them for a moment — wait a minute and read a fresh code off the host's phone.
If you are standing on the court and it still says you are too far away, the court's coordinates may be off. Mail us the court name and we will fix it.
My verification code never arrived
Check spam first. Codes expire after 15 minutes and you can ask for a new one from the same screen. If nothing arrives at all, mail help@playpickl.app from the address you signed up with and we will verify you by hand.
A match or rating looks wrong
Scores are reported by one player and confirmed by the other. If the score is wrong, dispute it from the match screen rather than confirming — that sends it to an admin instead of applying it. Unconfirmed matches auto-confirm after 24 hours, so dispute before then.
Ratings only move when a match is confirmed. Playing the same opponent a fourth time inside seven days still counts as a win or loss but does not move either rating, which is deliberate.
Reporting someone, or blocking them
Every player profile and every message has a report-or-block option behind the menu. Blocking is immediate and works both ways — neither of you can find or message the other afterwards. Reports go to a person, not a queue nobody reads.
Anything involving a threat to someone's safety should go straight to help@playpickl.app, and to the police if it is urgent.
Deleting your account
In the app: Profile → Delete my account. It asks for your password, explains exactly what goes, and takes effect immediately. Your name, avatar, email and location history are erased.
Matches you already played stay on your opponents' records, shown as a deleted player with no name or avatar. That is how their own rating history stays auditable — we cannot remove one side of a result without corrupting the other.
